Alina’s Light – The Power of Love
Employees from across Allegheny Mineral Corporation and the Snyder Associated family of companies volunteered and supported the 2nd annual Alina’s Light Walk for Love. Habitat Construction
Allegheny Mineral recently completed construction of a lush wetland and lake at our Slippery Rock quarry. The over 9-acre wetland was planted with silky willow, black willow, arrowwood, and buttonbush live stakes. The native plantings will provide exceptional habitat for wildlife interested in visiting the 11-acre lake. The area has already proved to be an interesting spot for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts alike.
Relay for Life
Allegheny Mineral and Snyder Associated Company employees beat fundraising goals once again during the 2021 Relay for Life. The team overcame reduced fundraising opportunities, due to COVID and CDC guidelines, and raised over $14,000 for the American Cancer Society. The relay team is already looking forward to 2022 and the 25th celebration of the annual event.
Pick-Up PA
Allegheny Mineral and Snyder Associated Company employees recently participated in the Pick-Up Pennsylvania campaign. The team cleared trash from the 3-mile stretch of Barron and Swope Roads in Slippery Rock and Worth Townships. The cleanup yielded 15 garbage bags of primarily fast-food trash, plastic bottles and cans, 2 TVs, and a truck bumper.
